Position Description

A health services organization in New York City is seeking a new Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join one of its outpatient facilities in the Bronx, focusing on opioid misuse treatment.

About the Opportunity:

Shift: Day
Schedule: Monday to Friday (with 1-2 Saturdays per month)
Hours: 6am to 2pm (1 hr unpaid lunch, 35 hours a week)
Setting: Outpatient Opioid Treatment

Responsibilities:

Assisting with patient care, including vital signs and lab specimens
Observing and reporting patient conditions
Administering methadone under supervision
Preparing and managing medication for clients
Performing additional duties as required

Qualifications:

1+ years of experience as an LPN
High School Diploma / GED
Technical/Vocational LPN Program graduate
NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
BLS certification
Experience with diverse populations
Knowledge of medical terminology
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and EHR

Desired Skills:

Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Vocational training as LPN
Experience with Addiction Treatment and/or Psychiatric Care
Experience with Substance Use Disorder or serious mental illness
