Position Description

A health services organization in New York City is seeking a new Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join one of its outpatient facilities in the Bronx, focusing on opioid misuse treatment.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (with 1-2 Saturdays per month)
  • Hours: 6am to 2pm (1 hr unpaid lunch, 35 hours a week)
  • Setting: Outpatient Opioid Treatment

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with patient care, including vital signs and lab specimens
  • Observing and reporting patient conditions
  • Administering methadone under supervision
  • Preparing and managing medication for clients
  • Performing additional duties as required

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience as an LPN
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Technical/Vocational LPN Program graduate
  • NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • BLS certification
  • Experience with diverse populations
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and EHR

Desired Skills:

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Vocational training as LPN
  • Experience with Addiction Treatment and/or Psychiatric Care
  • Experience with Substance Use Disorder or serious mental illness
