We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse for a 22-bed Pediatric Specialty Care Unit/ Peds Step Down Unit at Inova Fairfax Hospital/ Inova L.J Children's Hospital.
Come work with a team that cares for the patient and the team members! Our 22-bed Pediatric Specialty Care Unit (formerly known as PIMC unit) cares for intermediate level patients specializing in renal diagnosis and high flow. Nurses will also care for medical/surgical patients with all diagnoses requiring step-down care. Nurse ratios are 3:1 for IMC status patients and 4:1 for floor status patients.

Schedule: Part time Day shift

Requirements:
- Minimum of one-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting. Prefer Pediatric step-down experience.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required.
- RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
- Education – BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN)- must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others.
